Note on Keymap Compilation Issue
Due to recent updates in the Keymap Editor related to the ZMK mousekey, you may encounter a compilation error. To resolve this, please remove the line #include <dt-bindings/zmk/pointing.h>
from config/keyballxx.keymap
after you saved in the Keymap Editor. Please refer this session for screenshots.
The physical bootloader/reset button on the keyboard is hard to access because it requires unscrewing the top acrylic display cover.
To simplify this, we’ve added two methods to trigger the bootloader directly from the keymap:
Hold the inner thumb key and double-press the corner outer key quickly (two times).
Note: This method may stop working if you change your keymap, as the layer and bootloader location might differ between layers.
Press the two corner keys twice in quick succession.
This is pre-configured in the combo list as a preset.
You are free to keep the preset combo for triggering the bootloader or customize it according to your preference. Just make sure to remember its location in your keymap. In the Keymap Editor, it is labeled as &bootloader
.
Due to shipping restrictions, batteries cannot be shipped internationally. If you are unable to receive a battery through our store, you will need to purchase the battery locally. Here are the details of the required battery and the steps to ensure it works perfectly with your setup.
Battery Specifications:
Steps to Procure the Battery Locally:
Find a Local Seller: Locate a local electronics or battery supplier who can provide 303450 550mAh batteries.
Request for Socketing: Once you have the batteries, you’ll need to ask the seller to socket them with MX 1.25mm connectors. This will allow you to easily connect the battery to your device without the need for soldering.
No Soldering Required: No soldering is required on your end. Simply ensure that the batteries are socketed and ready to be connected.
Assembling the Battery: Remove the screws from the top plates and the two screws from the trackball at the bottom case. Slot in the battery as shown in the photo.

We usually use PLA with a 10-20% infill. Consider using Nylon for a better experience.
Replace the original 10mm MX screw with a 6mm M2 screw for the low-profile build.
M2 screw 6mm length
For successful installation, use a 3mm bearing ball. If the fit is too loose, apply a suitable glue to secure it. If the ball fits directly without glue, your print is perfect. Note that the trackball sensor is very sensitive and may require some trial and error to function correctly
